The players selected FC Jazz's Joshua Pulla as the Ykkönen Player of the Month for August.

"Wow, it’s a blessing and an honour, especially knowing this recognition comes from the players. Ykkönen is such a competitive league with so many great players, so I’m truly grateful. It’s also a reflection of our team’s form and the trust my teammates and coaches have in me. Our unbeaten run has made it much easier for me to be at my best. Kiitos!"
- Joshua Pulla, FC Jazz
Joshua Pulla enjoyed an outstanding August. The FC Jazz forward played a decisive role in his team’s strong run of results in the Ykkönen, consistently delivering in front of the goal when it mattered most. During the month, Pulla scored four goals, including a brace against RoPS, the winning goal in a 2–0 victory over SalPa, and the opening goal in FC Jazz’s 2–0 win over FC Inter 2.
Born in Canada in 2001, Pulla is a versatile forward who joined FC Jazz ahead of the 2026 season. He combines intelligent movement and a natural eye for goal. Throughout the season, he has become an increasingly important part of FC Jazz’s attacking unit, scoring 8 goals so far in Ykkönen. His performances in August further showcased his clinical finishing ability.
In all the top Finnish leagues - Veikkausliiga, Kansallinen Liiga, Ykkösliiga, Kansallinen Ykkönen and Ykkönen - the players vote at the end of each month for the league’s Player of the Month. Players are not allowed to vote for someone from their own team. The player who receives the most votes during the month is selected as the Player of the Month.
